Learning that good cranberries bounce and bad cranberries don't, thus the basis of cranberry sorting machines |
On the tour, we learned about cranberry origins. Do you know that the cranberry is only naturally grown in North America? We can't assure you that isn't grown elsewhere because we are not granted access to our cell phones.
What's a good mission trip without supplies? That was the mindset we were in when we visited Costco, where Mr. Tennant sent the youth on a food shopping scavenger hunt. With twenty minutes left, the youth stocked up personal snacks to be shared throughout the week (Translation: Junk food).
Off we went back to the church, where the first Kitchen Patrols Grace Pereles, McCartney Van Brunt, Maddie McGill, Meredith Srour, Ed Tennant and Charlie Nahebedian cooked up a scrumptious spaghetti dinner.
The Devotions for the week are to be centered around Living Water, in the real world, in the Bible and in our lives. Today we had the first of many, where everyone received notebooks, pencils and Care Cards. We reflected upon waters impact on our life and its significance.
